How to Reset a Forgotten Notes Password

If you have locked some of your notes and forgotten your password, you can reset it quickly with just a few taps. But keep in mind that this will only unlock the notes that you locked with your old password; those protected using a different password will remain locked.

In the Settings app, tap Notes and select Reset Password from the pop-up menu. Enter your old password, new password, and a hint in the Password and Verify fields. If you want to use Face ID or Touch ID to verify, toggle on Use Face ID or Turn on Touch ID.
